Thayer Driver Education Center
is dedicated to presenting a comprehensive program to both teen-agers and
adults.
Our teaching staff has over sixty-five years of cumulative Driver Education
Teaching Experience in the State of Connecticut Public School System.
Thayer Driver Education is committed
to making teenagers safe drivers before they ever get behind the wheel.
With all of our driver education materials, teens will learn all about the
basics of driving, including the laws of the road, how to deal with different
driving conditions, how to react in emergencies, and everything they need to
know about why they should never drive under the influence of alcohol and drugs.
We offer several products, so you can choose the one that’s best for you.

8 Hour Adult Safe Driving Classes
Required as of October 1, 2008
**Classes are held on Sundays 8AM – 12PM. You must attend two Sundays in a row to complete the program.**

8 Hour Drug and Alcohol Program
now offered in New Milford
Classes are held on every Saturday from 9am - 1pm. "You must attend two Saturdays in a row to complete the program"
: "As of April 1, 2009, Teenagers with paper permits and Adults can NO longer Test @Thayer Driver Ed. DMV has
now made it mandatory that they can only test at one of the DMV Branch offices." "Thayer Driver Ed is now offering classes at New Fairfield High School. The first class will begin on March 30, 2009. Enrollment has now started. Application can be found in the NFHS Main Office or you can apply online."
